Honey Heart Waffles
Otherwise any of the regular plug in to the wall ones work.
- 2 Cups gf flour (Doves do a good one)
- 2 tsp baking powder
- Pinch sea salt
- 4 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 ripe (brown)banana well mashed
- 1/2 - 1 Cup milk of choice
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- Strawberries sliced to serve
- Raw honey to drizzle
Place the flour, baking powder and salt in a medium mixing bowl. Beat the eggs in a small bowl, add the vanilla, mashed banana and butter and combine well.
Tip the wet ingredients into the mixing bowl with the flour in and fold together gently until fully mixed, but do not over mix as the waffles will become tough when cooked. Pour in milk. stirring gradually until batter is thick but pourable.
Drizzle a little oil into your waffle iron and heat on a medium high heat. Ladle batter in until fully covered. After minute place the lid down and flip over.
Using a knife or spatula prise the waffle out and either serve whole drizzled with honey and sliced strawberries, of break up into heart shaped pieces.
Continue until all the batter is used up. You can reserve batter in the fridge and it will work really well the next day.
Enjoy!
