Molten Baked Apples
A warm cosy treat of a dish that's perfect for using up a deluge of apples, or as a fuss free weekend pudding. Packed with goodness and none of the nasties. Little people love digging into these so make extra! And they make a beautiful breakfast too.
Oven at 170
Slice a circle around the core at the top of each apple and dig the core out, without going all the way through – to keep a base in tact and the liquid deliciousness from escaping. Place on a lined baking sheet.
Melt the butter/oil and honey in a small saucepan. In a small mixing bowl combine the dry ingredients and pour the melted honey mixture over the top. Mix well and then spoon into the apples until very full and packed down.
Place in the oven to bake for approx 20-30 minutes until v soft and cooked through.
