This is a creamy, dream of a treat that's a million miles from the sugar packed shop versions. My kids always want ice cream whatever the weather and when it's this easy you can whip it up in minutes. No churn, no fuss just beautiful ice cream.
Slice bananas and lay them on a lined baking sheet, freeze
overnight. Or just take the brown ones out of the fruit bowl as you
go and you should store up a nice supply for ice cream making.
Using a powerful blender, place banana pieces, vanilla and a splash
of the milk and whizz using the tamper to keep it all moving, add
milk gradually until soft serve texture is reached. Scoop out half
into a tub and freeze or serve immediately. Add strawberries to the
blender and you have two tone delicious and super healthy ice
cream in minutes.
Serve with strawberries and mint leaves scattered over the top.
Alternative caramel flavour: add 2 dates, 2 tbsp almond butter for a fudgey caramel delight!
